She is recognized for being Vincent Kennedy McMahon’s daughter, the man who made WWE into the largest global entertainment company in the world. It’s no sercet that Stephanie McMahon is one of the most powerful women in WWE today. She graduated with a degree in Communication at Boston University before joining the family business.
Prior to joining the family business, Stephanie was born with a silver spoon in her mouth in Hardfort, Connecticut. As a little girl, Stephanie had a charmed life. She grew up around giant wrestlers such as Andre the Giant since her parents, Vince and Linda McMahon, brought a company from her grandfather in the 80s.
Stephanie McMahon was the first woman in the McMahon family to win the Women’s Championship defeating Jacquelyn on an episode of SmackDown in the Attitude Era. In 2002, Stephanie became a General Manager for SmackDown, making SmackDown the number one show in sports entertainment. She was forced to leave SmackDown in 2003 after losing to her father in “I Quit” match at No Mercy.
